Arizona, the 48th State of our Nation needs all the support it can generate; so, as a native I'd like to highlight the pro's of our great State.

For 35 years, the T.V. show, Wallace and Ladmo, created many happy memories for Arizona's youth. Children, scout groups and elementary school classes would be the live studio audience for the children's comedy show. As a prize to end each episode they would hand out the famous "Ladmo Bags" which were filled with treats. Later, “The Wallace and Ladmo Show,” opened "Legend City," an amusement park which included roller coasters, a log ride and suspended cable trolleys that circled around the park creating a mini-Disneyland for us. Legend City was located at the base of Papago Park near the Phoenix Zoo and Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

I have traveled to 47 States and the beauty of our landscape is truly unique. Arizona is home to the majestic Grand Canyon, one of the seven world wonders. The nature here offers us incredible camping, hiking, boating, dirt biking, 4-wheeling and more. Thousands of "snow-birds" as well as real birds migrate South during the winter and end up here, in wonderful Arizona!

You can be in shorts by the pool during the cool season or within just a couple hours of travel time be snowboarding in the high country. Though it is hot for a few months in the summer, residents are safe from major natural disasters such as coastal floods, tornadoes and major earthquakes. We can brag about our wonderful weather for the majority of the year and we have incredible sunsets!

Don't let recent political issues or downward economics negatively influence how you feel about AZ. Enjoy the little things in life that you CAN control. Go outside or come visit us and experience the great State of Arizona!
